Victoria Park East

Victoria Park East has several of our largest event spaces and is home to our festival event programme. From small activations to medium scale events, there is a perfect site for your event.

Bandstand Events Space

The bandstand is a much-loved attraction in Victoria Park, situated between Crown Gate East and Gunmakers Gate. It opens out on to a beautiful and open grassy field space, with a leafy meadow area as a backdrop.

The events space is perfect for low impact performances and small to medium scale events. The bandstand provides both a stage and an attractive feature. Visible from the Central Drive, it is ideal for promotional activations. The high footfall attracts passers-by to activities in this area.

The bandstand is often used for performances during festivals. It is a focal point during the free to access midweek content at In the Neighbourhood, part of All Points East festival. The Victoria Park Friends group hosts a Summer Bandstand season on Sunday afternoons.

The area’s central location has direct access from the park’s main gates, Crown Gate East and Royal Gate East, both on Grove Road. It also has good walking routes from other gates such as Terrace Gate and Gunmakers Gate on Old Ford Road. The space is close to the Lido Gate car park on Grove Road, which is a useful and accessible production entrance.

Burdett Coutts Field

The Burdett Coutts Fountain dates back to 1862. Now decorative, the fountain is an iconic landmark in Victoria Park. The Burdett Coutts Field, to the east of the fountain, is a flat grassy field lined with trees on its northern side.

The field benefits from its central location on the east side of the park and its proximity to the Hub Café. It is popular with park users, dog walkers and cyclists. It is accessible from Crown Gate East, Royal Gate East, Queens and Gunmakers gates. The space has good vehicle access via the Lido Gate car park on Grove Road.

Burdett Coutts Field is perfect for small to medium scale corporate events and promotional activity. Its location, openness and size is also suitable for sports and wellness events.

Crown East Field

Crown East Field is a beautiful green meadow close to Grove Road. It is a picturesque setting for small to medium scale corporate events, with a focus on sports or wellness. It benefits from its proximity to the Hub Café and is ideal for promotional activations.

It is easy to reach from the major transport links at Mile End. The field is close to Crown Gate East, one of the main pedestrian entrances. It is also close to the Lido Gate production entrance.

Gunmakers Field

Gunmakers Field is one of the premier event spaces in Victoria Park. It has been the main arena for large scale festivals for a number of years. This huge, flat, picturesque, greenfield site is perfect for medium to large scale events.

The size and shape of Gunmakers Field makes it perfect for larger footprint events, with no obstructions to sightlines. Perfect as a main stage arena, it is also suitable for single arena festivals, including those with a wellness focus.

Central to the eastern park, it is easy to access from all east side entrance points. The field is closest to Gunmakers Gate. It is also accessible from Crown Gate East and St Mark’s Gate. For production purposes, the space can use either the Lido Gate on Grove Road or St Mark’s Gate to the east.

Hub Field

The Hub Field is a flat grassy field lined with trees, which benefits from its central location and its proximity to the Hub Café. Bordered by Central Drive and the path to Gunmakers Gate, it has very high footfall.

The space is perfect for small promotional activations, corporate and wellness events. Often hired with neighbouring event spaces, it is also a great location for a small event in its own right.

In the middle of the park, the Hub Field is easy to access from all entrance points. The closest pedestrian access is Gunmakers gate, but for production purposes it is accessible from either the Lido Gate on Grove Road or from St Mark’s to the east.

Lido Field

Lido Field is one of the largest event spaces in Victoria Park. Named after the lido demolished in 1990, it is a large, flat greenfield site. It is suitable for medium scale festivals, corporate events, and promotional activations. The Lido Field has hosted smaller festival stages and is the site of a successful annual Christmas tree concession.

Next to Grove Road, which separates the east and west sides of the park, it has high footfall and visibility. The main vehicle access to the park is via the Lido car park, making production load in very easy.

Molesworth Field

Molesworth Field is a large, flat, greenfield space in the north-east corner of the park. It is perfect for small to medium scale events, particularly with a sports or wellness focus.

The field is a popular location for event villages for medium sized running events. It has a large unobstructed space surrounded by attractive tree-lined pathways. It is home to several annual runs, including the London Pride 10k and the Red Run.

The well-maintained pitches are popular for sporting activities. It is a stone’s throw from the facilities of the Ron Cain Sports Pavilion, which you can also hire for your event.

Molesworth Field has nearby pedestrian access from Molesworth, Cadogan and St Mark's gates. St Mark's Gate can also act as a production entrance.

Queen’s Field

This area of the park is a flat, grassy field with two football pitches. North of the Hub Café, it borders the East Lake and the bowling green. It is in a well-used part of the park, close to the children’s playground, the Old English Garden, and the skate park.

Queen’s Field is perfect for small to medium scale events. It benefits from being well defined by trees and shrubbery. This sets it apart from the surrounding areas and provides a certain amount of seclusion. The defined space makes it particularly suited for closed or private events. It is a popular choice for corporate activities such as sports days, and events with a wellness focus.

The field is closest to Queen’s Gate on Victoria Park Road to the north. It is a short walk from Royal Gate East along the northern drive. For production purposes, the space is accessible from the Lido Gate on Grove Road. It is also accessible via St Mark's on the eastern side of the park.
