This area of the park is a flat, grassy field with two football pitches. North of the Hub Café, it borders the East Lake and the bowling green. It is in a well-used part of the park, close to a children’s playground, the Old English Garden, and the skate park.

The field is closest to Queen’s Gate, with Victoria Park Road to the north. It is a short walk from Royal Gate East along the northern drive.
For production purposes, the space is accessible from the Lido Gate on Grove Road. It is also accessible via St Mark's Gate on the eastern side of the park.
