Weavers Fields has great transport links to the City and West End. It is a few minutes on foot from both Bethnal Green stations and a ten-minute walk from Shoreditch High Street station.
The park was created after World War II and takes its name from the area’s historic silk weaving industry. It has won a Green Flag Award, an accreditation given to well-managed parks and open spaces in the UK.
It has several large open flat spaces which can hold a variety of events and activities. Events can be held on the sports pitches to the west of the park, and/or in the larger space to the south-east of the park.
